So other than the 10 layer cake that they gifted us at the marina when we checked in, there was not much excitement in Crisfield. We spent most of the morning doing boat chores. Never ending buffing and waxing for me and cleaning for Marcia. Sometimes it is nice to have no plans or exploring for the day. We did take a walk in the afternoon, but nothing to report.
The cake was as good as it looked!Lucy was seriously trying to figure out how to get to the seagulls on the dock.
We grilled out steaks for dinner and enjoyed a non-travel day.
Thursday
We departed around 8:00 for our 50 mile cruise to Solomon's Island. Nice smooth water on the bay and we arrived just after lunch. They had a self service pump out at the dock, so I took advantage and flushed our holding tanks about 7 times. Pumping clear water now! We walked into town in the afternoon and found a nice place on the water for drinks and appetizers.

With 1/2 price appetizers, we ended up eating an early dinner of bacon wrapped scallops, crab flatbread, and boom boom shrimp. Glad we got into the marina when we did as the wind has really picked up. Small craft advisory out right now. Looks like the wind is predicted to drop overnight which is good as we head to Annapolis tomorrow. A few other "Looper" boats here so thinking we may walk the docks later.
